About BPAHA

The Association is the largest ratepayer group on the North Shore. It serves about 3700 homes in the neighbourhoods of the original Properties, Glenmore, Chartwell, Westhill and Chippendale. Paid-up members numbered 838 in 1999, although membership has gone as high as 1000. While representing and speaking out on behalf of BP area residents on issues of local interest (roads, upkeep, trees, etc.) BPAHA tries to act as a good citizen of the entire West Vancouver community and has often participated on municipal committees and studies. Environmental issues are of increasing concern.

Over the years, BPAHA spearheaded the annual Clean Sweep, the Chartwell entrance monument and Taylor Way signage, and supported many. many other initiatives, including Block Watch. Although BPAHA does not endorse a slate of candidates during municipal elections, it hosts a local All-Candidates meeting so that residents can learn as much as they can.

British Properties residents continue to be concerned about protecting the spectacular views that attracted them to the area in the first place, and to maintain the unique ambiance that results from fine, well-maintained homes nestled into beautifully landscaped lots. BPAHA is doing what it can to give them a voice.
